Born on April 14, 2005, in Amsterdam, Netherlands, he moved to Marbella, Spain, at a young age, where he began his football journey. Huijsen's early career saw him develop through the youth systems of Costa Unida CF and Málaga CF before making a significant move to Juventus in 2021. At Juventus, he showcased his defensive prowess, eventually earning a loan spell at AS Roma in January 2024, where he continued to impress in Serie A.
In July 2024, Huijsen made a pivotal move to the Premier League, signing a six-year contract with AFC Bournemouth.
