Colin Bell, the complete midfielder known as the King
Colin Bell joined Manchester City from Bury in 1966 and became the driving force of the side assembled by Joe Mercer and Malcolm Allison. His stamina earned the nickname Nijinsky, while supporters called him the King of the Kippax. Bell could recover possession, carry the ball through midfield and arrive in scoring positions, making him difficult to define through one modern role.
He helped City win the league championship, FA Cup, League Cup and European Cup Winners' Cup. Bell also collected 48 England caps and played at the 1970 World Cup. A serious knee injury in a Manchester derby in 1975 interrupted what should have been more peak seasons, but his standing only deepened; a stand at the club's modern stadium later carried his name.
A Manchester City name for every generation
Colin Bell works on a Players Couture T-shirt for supporters who know Maine Road history and the qualities behind the nickname. The name-led design honours a complete footballer without copying a crest, sky-blue kit, stand signage or England badge.
How to wear the Colin Bell T-shirt
Wear it on match day, for away travel, at a pub screening or through an ordinary weekend when a replica shirt is not the easiest option. Pair it with denim and trainers, add an overshirt in cooler weather, or wear it with shorts through summer. It gives football supporters a clear way to represent the player and the memories behind the name. White gives the print a crisp finish, Black and Navy provide easy darker options, Grey has a softer athletic character and Red adds more impact.
Fit, fabric and made-to-order production
The T-shirt is made from soft ringspun cotton with a crew neck, short sleeves and a regular men's fit. It is available in White, Black, Red, Navy and Grey in sizes S, M, L, XL, 2XL and 3XL. Check the size guide before ordering, particularly when buying for somebody else or choosing a looser fit.
Each garment is printed to order in the United Kingdom after the customer selects the colour and size. No finished pre-printed stock is produced before an order is placed. This reduces the need to hold large quantities of finished stock and allows Players Couture to maintain specialist names alongside widely recognised favourites. Free UK delivery is included.
Wash inside out with similar colours on a cool cycle. Avoid bleach, do not iron directly over the print and air dry where practical. These steps help protect the cotton shape and printed lettering through repeat wear.
