The story behind the name
Born in Savigliano in 2006, Curtis built her reputation across the 50m and 100m freestyle and backstroke events. After representing Italy at the Paris 2024 Olympics, she developed into a record-breaking senior swimmer while studying and training at the University of Virginia. Her 2026 season brought a European title and world record in the 50m backstroke, alongside medals across freestyle and relay events—a rise driven by explosive starts, clean underwater work and rare versatility across strokes.
