Across his club career, he played for New England Revolution, Fulham, Tottenham Hotspur and Seattle Sounders, becoming a hero to fans on both sides of the Atlantic.

Internationally, Clint Dempsey is a United States legend. He earned 141 caps and scored 57 goals for the USA, making him joint top goalscorer in the nation’s history alongside Landon Donovan. He represented the USA at the 2006, 2010 and 2014 World Cups, scoring in all three tournaments. His goal against Ghana in 2006, his memorable strike against England in 2010, and his lightning-fast goal against Ghana in 2014 made him one of the defining American players of the modern World Cup era.
