Tony Cottee, instinctive finishing from the Boys of 86 onwards
Tony Cottee made his West Ham United debut at seventeen and quickly became one of English football's sharpest penalty-area strikers. His partnership with Frank McAvennie drove the Boys of 86 side to third place in the First Division, still the club's highest league finish. Cottee's movement and early finishing allowed him to score against defenders much larger than him.
Everton signed him for a major fee in 1988, and he scored a hat-trick on his debut. Cottee later returned to West Ham, won the League Cup with Leicester City and played in Malaysia before completing a career of more than 300 senior goals. He also earned seven England caps.
The surname remembered by West Ham and Everton supporters
The artwork reads COTTEE while the corrected product title identifies Tony Cottee. It works as Players Couture fanwear for Hammers, Evertonians, Leicester followers and friends who remember his finishing, without copying a club crest, shirt sponsor, squad number or league graphic.
How to wear the Tony Cottee T-shirt
Wear it on match day, for away travel, at a pub screening or through an ordinary weekend when a replica shirt is not the easiest option. Pair it with denim and trainers, add an overshirt in cooler weather, or wear it with shorts through summer. It gives football supporters a clear way to represent the player and the memories behind the name. White gives the print a crisp finish, Black and Navy provide easy darker options, Grey has a softer athletic character and Red adds more impact.
Fit, fabric and made-to-order production
The T-shirt is made from soft ringspun cotton with a crew neck, short sleeves and a regular men's fit. It is available in White, Black, Red, Navy and Grey in sizes S, M, L, XL, 2XL and 3XL. Check the size guide before ordering, particularly when buying for somebody else or choosing a looser fit.
Each garment is printed to order in the United Kingdom after the customer selects the colour and size. No finished pre-printed stock is produced before an order is placed. This reduces the need to hold large quantities of finished stock and allows Players Couture to maintain specialist names alongside widely recognised favourites. Free UK delivery is included.
Wash inside out with similar colours on a cool cycle. Avoid bleach, do not iron directly over the print and air dry where practical. These steps help protect the cotton shape and printed lettering through repeat wear.
