The John Barnes hoodie from Players Couture puts the name of the most dazzling winger in the history of Liverpool across the chest in bold lettering, contrasting colour, made to order when you place yours. John Barnes won two First Division titles and the FA Cup with Liverpool, was named the PFA Players’ Player of the Year and FWA Footballer of the Year in 1988, and is remembered for a goal against Brazil in 1984 — a solo run through the entire Brazilian defence before finishing — that was voted the best goal ever scored by an England player. For Liverpool supporters and fans of English football who watched him at Anfield, this is the fan apparel.

John Barnes joined Liverpool from Watford in 1987 for £900,000 and spent ten seasons at Anfield, making 407 appearances and scoring 108 goals. He won the First Division title in 1988 and 1990 and the FA Cup in 1989. In 1987-88 he was named both the PFA Players’ Player of the Year and the FWA Footballer of the Year, and was widely regarded as the best player in England. For England, he earned 79 caps and scored 11 international goals. His solo goal against Brazil at the Maracanã in 1984 — weaving past five defenders to score from inside the penalty area — is regularly cited as the finest goal ever scored in an England shirt.
