The Peter Osgood hoodie from Players Couture carries the name of the most beloved and charismatic striker in the history of Chelsea Football Club across the chest in bold lettering, contrasting colour, made to order when you place yours. Peter Osgood scored 150 goals in 380 appearances for Chelsea, won the FA Cup in 1970 and the European Cup Winners’ Cup in 1971, and was the most naturally gifted and colourful personality at Stamford Bridge during the most celebrated period of the club’s early history. Peter Osgood joined Chelsea’s youth academy and made his debut in 1964. He spent the majority of his career at Stamford Bridge across two spells, scoring 150 goals in 380 appearances. He was part of the Chelsea side that won the FA Cup in 1970 — requiring a replay against Leeds United that went to extra time — and the European Cup Winners’ Cup in 1971 against Real Madrid. For England, he earned four caps. He had a brief spell at Southampton and in the North American Soccer League before returning to Chelsea. He was the most popular Chelsea player of his era — a cult figure whose name was chanted at Stamford Bridge long after his retirement and whose ashes are buried under the penalty spot at the ground.
