Shaka Hislop is one of the most respected goalkeepers of his era. Born in London and raised in the Caribbean, he became a trailblazer for Trinidad and Tobago on the world stage. Hislop earned over 100 international caps and captained his country, famously leading them to their first ever FIFA World Cup in 2006, where his performances earned admiration across the globe.

At club level, Hislop built a formidable career in English football. He starred for Reading before moving on to Coventry City, where his reputation as a top-class goalkeeper grew. His big breakthrough came at Newcastle United, where he became a fan favourite during the club’s European club football campaigns. He later guarded the net for West Ham United and Portsmouth, playing in some of the Premier League’s most intense battles, before finishing his career with FC Dallas in the United States.
