Teddy Sheringham won the Treble with Manchester United in 1999, scoring the equaliser in the European club football final with seconds remaining, was named the PFA Players’ Player of the Year and FWA Footballer of the Year in 2001, and represented England 51 times. Teddy Sheringham played for Millwall, Nottingham Forest, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United, Tottenham again, Portsmouth, West Ham United and Colchester United across a professional career that lasted until he was 42. At United in 1999 he scored the equaliser in the European club football final against Bayern Munich in injury time, directly setting up Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s winner. He won the Premier League, FA Cup and European club football that season. He was named PFA Players’ Player of the Year and FWA Footballer of the Year in 2001 at the age of 35.
