Southampton: A Teenage Hat-Trick
Born in Newcastle in 1970, Shearer had trials with several clubs as a boy before signing for Southampton. On his full debut in 1988, aged 17, he scored a hat-trick against Arsenal, becoming the youngest player to score a top-flight hat-trick at the time. Celebrate this chapter with our Alan Shearer 9 Football Shirt Frame Men's Hoodie.
Blackburn Rovers: Champions
Blackburn signed Shearer in 1992, and he became the most prolific striker in the country. His partnership with Chris Sutton, "SAS", fired Rovers to the 1994-95 Premier League title. He scored 30 or more league goals in three consecutive seasons. Relive it with our Alan Shearer World Cup Sticker Men's Hoodie.
Euro 96
Shearer won the Golden Boot at Euro 96 with five goals as England reached the semi-finals on home soil. He scored 30 goals in 63 games for his country and captained England. Wear the legend with our Shearer & Sutton Logo Men's Hoodie.
Coming Home to Newcastle
In 1996 Newcastle paid a world-record £15 million to bring Shearer home. He spent a decade at St James' Park, became the club's all-time record goalscorer with 206 goals and is still revered on Tyneside.
Legacy
Shearer was the complete centre-forward: brave in the air, powerful with either foot and deadly from the penalty spot. Nearly two decades after he retired, his Premier League record still stands.
