Why Dušan Vlahović still matters
Dušan Vlahović developed from Partizan's academy into a leading Serbian centre-forward. At Fiorentina his powerful left foot, penalty-area movement and 21-goal Serie A season in 2020 to 2021 earned the league's best young player award. Juventus signed him in January 2022, and he later scored the only goal in the 2024 Coppa Italia final. After reaching 50 league goals for Juventus, Vlahović moved to Beşiktaş in 2026 and began quickly in Turkish football. He has represented Serbia at the 2022 World Cup and Euro 2024, carrying the expectations that accompany the number-nine role.
