Efan Ekoku: the reference on the chest
Efan Ekoku became the first player to score four goals in a Premier League match when Norwich City won 5-1 at Everton in September 1993. The Nigerian striker had already helped Norwich finish third in the league and was part of the side that defeated Bayern Munich in the UEFA Cup. After joining Wimbledon, he contributed to a team renowned for direct football, resilience and awkward afternoons for more fashionable opponents. Ekoku also played for Bournemouth, Grasshoppers and Sheffield Wednesday, and represented Nigeria at the 1994 World Cup and 1994 Africa Cup of Nations. His later broadcasting career kept his calm reading of forward play in the game.
Why fans remember
EFAN EKOKU connects Norwich's European adventure, Wimbledon's uncompromising 1990s side and Nigeria's celebrated first World Cup generation. The full name gives supporters a specific, informed football reference.
The name is set in direct collegiate-style lettering so the subject remains the focus. It gives friends, family and committed fans a design they can recognise immediately, while keeping the T-shirt useful as everyday clothing rather than limiting it to one match, screening, tournament or event.
How to wear the Efan Ekoku T-shirt
Wear it on match day, for away travel, in the pub with friends or on a normal weekend when a replica shirt is not the easiest choice. It works with denim, trainers and an overshirt, giving football fans a direct way to represent the history behind the name. White gives the print a crisp finish, Black and Navy are versatile darker choices, Grey has a softer athletic character and Red brings more impact.
Soft cotton, regular fit and UK printing
This men's T-shirt is made from soft ringspun cotton with a crew neck, short sleeves and a regular fit. Sizes run from S, M and L through XL, 2XL and 3XL, with White, Black, Red, Navy and Grey colour options. Check the size guide before ordering, particularly when buying as a gift or when a looser fit is preferred.
Players Couture prints each garment to order in the United Kingdom after the customer chooses the colour and size. No finished, pre-printed stock is produced before an order is placed. This reduces the need to hold large quantities of completed stock and makes room for specialist names alongside widely known favourites. Free UK delivery is included.
Wash the T-shirt inside out with similar colours on a cool cycle. Avoid bleach, do not iron directly over the lettering and air dry where practical. These simple steps help protect the cotton shape and printed surface through repeat wear.
