Represent Dave Watson
Dave Watson, the Liverpool-born centre-back associated above all with Everton, began his senior career at Norwich City and captained the Canaries to the 1985 League Cup. He moved to Goodison Park later that year and remained there for fifteen seasons, making more than 500 appearances for the club. Watson won the league title in 1986-87, became captain and lifted the FA Cup in 1995 after Everton defeated Manchester United at Wembley. His aerial strength, positioning and calm leadership gave continuity through several different teams and managers. He also won 12 England caps and briefly served as Everton's caretaker manager in 1997.
The career and culture behind the design
For Everton fans, DAVE WATSON means long service and the sight of a respected captain holding the FA Cup. The clean full-name treatment suits a defender whose reputation was built through reliability rather than self-promotion.
The lettering is intentionally direct. It lets the subject remain the focus and gives friends, family and the biggest fans a design they can recognise immediately. It also keeps the T-shirt useful as everyday clothing rather than limiting it to one match, screening, tournament or event.
How to wear the Dave Watson T-shirt
Wear it on match day, for away travel, in the pub with friends or on an ordinary weekend when a replica shirt is not the easiest choice. It works with denim, trainers and an overshirt, giving football fans an understated way to represent the career behind the name. White gives the print a crisp finish, Black and Navy are versatile darker choices, Grey has a softer athletic character and Red brings more impact.
Soft cotton, regular fit and UK printing
This men's T-shirt is made from soft ringspun cotton with a crew neck, short sleeves and a regular fit. Sizes run from S, M and L through XL, 2XL and 3XL, with White, Black, Red, Navy and Grey colour options. Check the size guide before ordering, especially when buying as a gift or when a looser fit is preferred.
Players Couture prints each garment to order in the United Kingdom after the customer chooses the colour and size. No finished, pre-printed stock is produced before an order is placed. This reduces the need to hold large quantities of completed stock and allows the collection to include specialist names alongside widely known favourites. Free UK delivery is included.
For care, wash the T-shirt inside out with similar colours on a cool cycle. Avoid bleach, do not iron directly over the printed lettering and air dry where practical. These steps help protect both the cotton shape and the surface of the print through repeat wear.
