Adebayo Akinfenwa won promotion to the Championship with Wycombe Wanderers in 2020 — and the scenes at Adams Park that evening were some of the most joyful in non-league and lower-league football in years. The Beast, as he was known throughout his career, carried Wycombe on his shoulders in a campaign that defied every expectation placed on the club.
