Arfon Griffiths Wrexham Hoodie | Players Couture

Arfon Griffiths captained Wrexham during one of the most celebrated periods in the club's history, helping them to third place in the old Second Division in 1978 — their highest ever Football League finish — and establishing himself as one of the most technically accomplished players the club has ever produced. The Welsh international spent the majority of his career at the Racecourse Ground, and his loyalty and quality made him a genuine hero at a club that was punching well above its weight at the time.

Griffiths represented Wales at international level, combining his club commitments with appearances for his country in an era when Welsh football had genuine strength in depth. His ability to control games from midfield, his eye for a pass and his leadership on the pitch made him the kind of player that supporters of a certain generation at Wrexham still speak about as the benchmark for how a Wrexham player should carry themselves. His legacy at the club long predates the Netflix cameras.
