The Clock End, a Highbury landmark carried into Arsenal's new home
The great clock arrived at Arsenal Stadium in the 1930s under the influence of manager and moderniser Herbert Chapman. Placed above the south terrace, it gave the Clock End its name and became one of Highbury's most familiar reference points. Supporters did not need a seat number to understand what the words meant.
Highbury remained Arsenal's home from 1913 until 2006. When the club moved to Emirates Stadium, the original clock was preserved on the outside of the new ground facing Clock End Bridge, while a larger replica was later installed inside. The gesture carried a piece of match-day geography from one stadium to another.
A stand name filled with supporter memory
CLOCK END works as Players Couture clothing for Arsenal fans who remember the terrace, the redeveloped stand or the continuing reference at Emirates Stadium. It is a subtle ground-based design that represents place and community without using the cannon, club badge, sponsor or a photograph of the clock.
How to wear the Clock End T-shirt
Wear it on match day, for away travel, at a pub screening or through an ordinary weekend when a replica shirt is not the easiest option. Pair it with denim and trainers, add an overshirt in cooler weather, or wear it with shorts through summer. It gives football supporters a clear way to represent the player and the memories behind the name. White gives the print a crisp finish, Black and Navy provide easy darker options, Grey has a softer athletic character and Red adds more impact.
Fit, fabric and made-to-order production
The T-shirt is made from soft ringspun cotton with a crew neck, short sleeves and a regular men's fit. It is available in White, Black, Red, Navy and Grey in sizes S, M, L, XL, 2XL and 3XL. Check the size guide before ordering, particularly when buying for somebody else or choosing a looser fit.
Each garment is printed to order in the United Kingdom after the customer selects the colour and size. No finished pre-printed stock is produced before an order is placed. This reduces the need to hold large quantities of finished stock and allows Players Couture to maintain specialist names alongside widely recognised favourites. Free UK delivery is included.
Wash inside out with similar colours on a cool cycle. Avoid bleach, do not iron directly over the print and air dry where practical. These steps help protect the cotton shape and printed lettering through repeat wear.
