Dani Alves is widely regarded as one of the greatest right-backs in football history. Starting his senior career at Bahia, he made his name in Europe with Sevilla, where he won back-to-back UEFA Cups and became one of La Liga’s most exciting attacking defenders. His legendary spell at Barcelona followed, where he became a key part of one of the greatest club sides ever, winning multiple La Liga titles, Copa del Rey trophies, European club football titles, UEFA Super Cups and FIFA Club World Cups.

He later played for Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain, São Paulo, returned to Barcelona, and finished his playing career with Pumas UNAM in Mexico. Across his career, Alves became known for his energy, creativity, crossing, flair, winning mentality and ability to dominate the right side of the pitch.

For Brazil, Dani Alves earned over 120 caps and represented his country at major tournaments including the FIFA World Cup. He was part of Brazil squads at the 2010, 2014 and 2022 World Cups, and also enjoyed major international success in the Copa América and Confederations Cup. One of his standout Brazil moments came in the 2007 Copa América final, where he scored against Argentina as Brazil lifted the trophy. He also captained Brazil to Copa América glory in 2019, winning the Golden Ball as player of the tournament.
