Diego Maradona was the greatest individual footballer of all time and this Maradona Argentina t-shirt from Players Couture is for every fan who knows exactly what that means. Fan apparel built around a genius that the game will not see again.

Born in Buenos Aires in 1960, Maradona came from nothing and became everything. His talent was visible from childhood — a touch, a balance, a relationship with the ball that defied explanation. He came through Argentinos Juniors, played for Boca Juniors, moved to Barcelona and then arrived in Naples in 1984. At Napoli he gave the city and the club two Serie A titles, a Coppa Italia and a UEFA Cup. He made Napoli believe they could compete with anyone and then he proved it. The city has never forgotten what he gave them.

At the 1986 World Cup in Mexico, he produced the greatest individual tournament performance in the history of the competition. Five goals. Five assists. One tournament. The quarter-final against England produced two goals — the controversial handball that opened the scoring and then, three minutes later, a 60-metre dribble past five England players that was voted the Goal of the Century by FIFA in 2002. Argentina won the tournament and Maradona was the reason. He passed away in November 2020 aged 60, leaving behind a legacy that transcends sport.
