George Cohen was part of England’s 1966 World Cup-winning side and spent his entire professional career at Fulham, making 459 appearances across twelve seasons. The right-back’s combination of defensive solidity and attacking pace contributed to England’s only major international honour, and his loyalty to Fulham through a career that could have taken him to larger clubs made him the most beloved player in the club’s history.

Cohen’s Craven Cottage career gave him the platform to develop into one of the most accomplished right-backs in the English game, and his 1966 World Cup summer put the Fulham badge on football’s biggest stage. His connection to the club, maintained long after retirement through charity work and community involvement, reflects a character as admirable as his football.
