Giampiero Boniperti Juventus T-Shirt | Players Couture

Giampiero Boniperti scored 182 goals for Juventus across fifteen seasons between 1946 and 1961, becoming the club's all-time leading scorer before Roberto Baggio eventually surpassed him decades later. The Italian forward was the central figure in Juventus's post-war rebuilding and their emergence as one of Italy's dominant forces, winning five Serie A titles and helping establish the club's identity as the most serious footballing institution in the country.

Boniperti later became one of the most influential figures in Italian football administration, serving as Juventus president and overseeing the club's development through the 1980s and 1990s. His connection to the club spans the entirety of the modern era, from player to president, and his contribution to what Juventus became is as much about the culture he helped build as the goals he scored. The club's motto — "winning is not important, it's the only thing" — is attributed to Boniperti.
