Graham Eadie: a reference worth knowing
Graham Eadie, known as Wombat, was the powerful full-back and goal-kicker at the heart of Manly-Warringah's 1970s success. He played 237 first-grade games for the Sea Eagles and won four premierships, combining safe defence with strength when returning the ball. Eadie represented New South Wales and Australia and became one of the post-war game's leading points scorers. The 1978 grand final replay against Cronulla produced his most celebrated individual performance: a try, five goals and a field goal in Manly's 16-0 victory after an exhausting finals schedule. He later played and coached with Halifax, extending the connection to British rugby league.
Why fans still connect with it
GRAHAM EADIE represents Manly dominance, Australian full-back tradition and the 1978 replay performance. The full name is heritage rugby league clothing for supporters in both hemispheres.
The collegiate-style lettering keeps the subject at the centre of the design. It gives friends, family and committed fans a reference they can recognise immediately, while remaining useful as everyday clothing rather than something reserved for one match, screening, tournament or event.
How to wear the Graham Eadie T-shirt
Wear it on match day, for away travel, at the pub with friends or on an ordinary weekend. It works with denim, trainers and an overshirt, giving rugby league fans an everyday alternative to a replica jersey. White gives the print a crisp finish, Black and Navy are versatile darker choices, Grey has a softer athletic character and Red brings more impact.
Soft ringspun cotton and a regular men's fit
This men's T-shirt is made from soft ringspun cotton with a crew neck, short sleeves and a regular fit. Sizes run from S, M and L through XL, 2XL and 3XL, with White, Black, Red, Navy and Grey colour options. Check the size guide before ordering, particularly when buying as a gift or when a looser fit is preferred.
Players Couture prints each garment to order in the United Kingdom after the customer chooses the colour and size. No finished, pre-printed stock is produced before an order is placed. This reduces the need to hold large quantities of completed stock and leaves room in the collection for specialist references as well as widely known favourites. Free UK delivery is included.
Wash the T-shirt inside out with similar colours on a cool cycle. Avoid bleach, do not iron directly over the lettering and air dry where practical. These simple steps help protect the cotton shape and printed surface through repeat wear.
