The story behind the Kauri Cliffs name
Kauri Cliffs sits above Matauri Bay in New Zealand's Northland, with holes laid across farmland, forest edges and cliffs overlooking the Pacific. Designed by David Harman, the course is known for dramatic sea views without allowing scenery to remove the need for strategic driving and controlled approach play.
Career, culture and lasting relevance
Several holes run beside or high above the ocean, while inland sections use elevation and native landscape to change rhythm. The destination has hosted leading players and major events, including the PGA Tour's 2003 Shell's Wonderful World of Golf match. For travelling golfers, the name represents a round in which setting and architecture are inseparable.
KAURI CLIFFS is golf and travel clothing for visitors, bucket-list planners and fans of New Zealand course design. The typography does not copy the resort's logo.
Why the design works
The collegiate-style lettering keeps Kauri Cliffs at the centre of the T-shirt. It is bold enough to be recognised by somebody who knows the reference, yet restrained enough to work as everyday clothing. The approach does not imitate a shirt, poster, programme graphic, album sleeve, package or character image. It lets the name carry the history and gives different fans room to bring their own memory to it.
How to wear the Kauri Cliffs T-shirt
Wear it for a round, clubhouse lunch, golf trip or relaxed weekend away from the course. The name works with tailored shorts, chinos or denim and gives golfers a subtle reference that does not imitate club branding. White gives the lettering a crisp finish, Black and Navy are versatile darker choices, Grey has a softer athletic character and Red brings more impact. The design can be worn on its own in warmer weather or layered beneath an overshirt, hoodie or casual jacket.
Soft ringspun cotton and a regular men's fit
This men's T-shirt is made from soft ringspun cotton with a crew neck, short sleeves and a regular fit. Sizes run from S, M and L through XL, 2XL and 3XL, with White, Black, Red, Navy and Grey colour options. Check the size guide before ordering, particularly when buying as a gift or when a looser fit is preferred.
Players Couture prints each garment to order in the United Kingdom after the customer chooses the colour and size. No finished, pre-printed stock is produced before an order is placed. This reduces the need to hold large quantities of completed stock and leaves room in the collection for specialist references as well as widely known favourites. Free UK delivery is included.
Wash the T-shirt inside out with similar colours on a cool cycle. Avoid bleach, do not iron directly over the lettering and air dry where practical. These simple steps help protect the cotton shape and printed surface through repeat wear.
