A men's T-shirt built around Kennedy
KENNEDY carries two important Liverpool stories. Ray Kennedy arrived from Arsenal in 1974 and was converted by Bob Paisley from striker into a powerful, intelligent left-sided midfielder. He became central to a side that won league titles, European Cups and the UEFA Cup.
Why supporters still connect with it
Alan Kennedy joined from Newcastle in 1978 as an attacking left-back and produced decisive European moments. He scored the winner against Real Madrid in the 1981 European Cup final and converted the winning penalty in the 1984 final shoot-out against Roma. The shared surname therefore recalls two different players and two routes into Liverpool history.
KENNEDY is intentionally about both Ray and Alan, not an uncertain first name. It represents the club's golden European era while keeping the artwork to the surname supporters saw on the shirt.
Why the design works
The collegiate-style lettering keeps Kennedy at the centre of the T-shirt. It is bold enough to be recognised by somebody who knows the reference, yet restrained enough to work as everyday clothing. The approach does not imitate a shirt, poster, programme graphic, album sleeve, package or character image. It lets the name carry the history and gives different fans room to bring their own memory to it.
How to wear the Kennedy T-shirt
Wear it on match day, for away travel, in the pub with friends or on an ordinary weekend when a replica shirt feels too specific. It works with denim, trainers and an overshirt, giving football fans an informed way to represent the history behind the name. White gives the lettering a crisp finish, Black and Navy are versatile darker choices, Grey has a softer athletic character and Red brings more impact. The design can be worn on its own in warmer weather or layered beneath an overshirt, hoodie or casual jacket.
Soft ringspun cotton and a regular men's fit
This men's T-shirt is made from soft ringspun cotton with a crew neck, short sleeves and a regular fit. Sizes run from S, M and L through XL, 2XL and 3XL, with White, Black, Red, Navy and Grey colour options. Check the size guide before ordering, particularly when buying as a gift or when a looser fit is preferred.
Players Couture prints each garment to order in the United Kingdom after the customer chooses the colour and size. No finished, pre-printed stock is produced before an order is placed. This reduces the need to hold large quantities of completed stock and leaves room in the collection for specialist references as well as widely known favourites. Free UK delivery is included.
Wash the T-shirt inside out with similar colours on a cool cycle. Avoid bleach, do not iron directly over the lettering and air dry where practical. These simple steps help protect the cotton shape and printed surface through repeat wear.
