Kenny Dalglish Liverpool T-Shirt | Players Couture

Kenny Dalglish arrived at Liverpool in August 1977 as Kevin Keegan’s replacement and immediately demonstrated that an upgrade rather than a compromise had been made. His 172 goals for the club, combined with his work as manager — two league titles, the 1986 Double and his leadership through Hillsborough — placed him as the most important individual in the club’s modern history.

Dalglish’s relationship with the Kop was the deepest and most complete the club has formed with any individual. His ability to receive the ball under pressure and find teammates in advanced positions made him the ideal centre-forward for the Liverpool system, and his character elevated everyone around him across six First Division titles and three European Cups.
