Represent Luka Doncic with the full story

Luka Doncic became a professional with Real Madrid as a teenager and won the EuroLeague title and MVP award before entering the NBA. Dallas acquired him in the 2018 draft, and he immediately translated his pace control, passing angles and step-back shooting into Rookie of the Year honours. Multiple All-NBA selections followed, as did extraordinary play-off performances and a scoring title, with Doncic regularly using strength and patience rather than pure speed to control defenders.

The moments behind the lettering

He led the Mavericks to the 2024 NBA Finals before a major 2025 trade sent him to the Los Angeles Lakers. In his first full Lakers season he led the league in scoring, set a franchise record for three-pointers and returned to the All-NBA First Team. The move changed the league's competitive map but not the central attraction of his game: a possession can look slow until a defender is behind him and the ball has already reached the open shooter. Internationally, Doncic helped Slovenia win EuroBasket 2017 and has carried the national side at the Olympics and later tournaments.
