Ray Parlour won three Premier League titles, four FA Cups and a Cup Winners' Cup with Arsenal across fifteen seasons at the club — a record of achievement that deserves more recognition than it consistently receives. The Romford Pelé, as he came to be affectionately known, was one of the most important players in the Arsène Wenger era: a midfielder who covered ground, provided energy and did the work that allowed the more celebrated players around him to function with the freedom that their talent deserved.
