Ryan Giggs won 13 Premier League titles with Manchester United — more than any other player in the history of the competition — across a career at Old Trafford that lasted 24 years from his debut in 1991 to his final appearance in 2014. The Welsh winger's longevity, his ability to reinvent his game as his physical attributes changed with age, and his contribution to every single one of those title campaigns made him the definitive player of the Premier League era.

Giggs's finest individual moment came in the 1999 FA Cup semi-final replay against Arsenal, when he picked up a loose pass in his own half, ran the length of the pitch through Arsenal's defence and scored a goal that Gary Neville later described as the greatest he had ever seen in person. The celebration — shirt off, spinning — became one of the most reproduced images in Premier League history. He had better goals and more important contributions across his career, but that moment captured everything: the pace, the skill and the instinct that made him one of the finest British players of his generation.
