The story behind the name

Barnard's route through karting, Formula 4 and Formula 2 led to an unexpected Formula E debut when he replaced an injured Sam Bird in Monaco in 2024. He immediately looked at home, then became the championship's youngest points scorer, podium finisher and pole-sitter during his rookie campaign with NEOM McLaren. A move to DS Penske for 2025/26 confirmed his status as one of electric racing's leading next-generation drivers.
