The Story: An American in Paris
Created by Sex and the City's Darren Star, Emily in Paris follows Emily Cooper (Lily Collins), a Chicago marketing executive who unexpectedly lands a job in Paris. She brings an American point of view to a French luxury marketing firm, with plenty of clashes, romance and outfits along the way.
The series was originally developed for Paramount Network before moving to Netflix in 2020.

The Cast: Emily, Sylvie, Mindy and Gabriel
Lily Collins leads the cast and is also a producer. Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu plays Emily's formidable boss Sylvie, Ashley Park is her best friend Mindy, and Lucas Bravo is the chef Gabriel.
Samuel Arnold, Bruno Gouery and William Abadie round out the Agence Grateau team, with Lucien Laviscount as Alfie.

Behind the Scenes: Filming Locations
Filming began in Paris in August 2019, with extra scenes shot in Chicago. Season 2 travelled to Saint-Tropez, Versailles and Villefranche-sur-Mer, season 4 headed to Rome, and season 5 also filmed in Venice in 2025.
Season 6 started filming in May 2026, adding Monaco and Greece, and wrapped in September.
The Final Season
Netflix renewed the show in January 2026 and confirmed season 6 would be the last. Fans will find out how Emily's story ends when all ten episodes drop on 24 December 2026.
