Novak Djokovic is still finding new ways to make history. In early October 2026 he won a record seventh China Open title in Beijing, his 102nd tour-level crown, leaving him one behind Roger Federer's 103 for second place in the Open Era. He is still unbeaten there, 34-0.
It has been a bumpy year at 39, with a run to the Australian Open final, a Wimbledon semi-final and a first-round loss at the US Open. Yet the Serbian keeps answering every doubt. Shop his designs in our tennis collection.

Early Years in Belgrade
Djokovic was born in Belgrade on 22 May 1987 and grew up during a hard period for his country. He turned professional in 2003 and rose quickly, with a rubber-band defence, a superb return of serve and a backhand that soon became one of the best the game has seen.

The Breakthrough
His first Grand Slam came at the 2008 Australian Open, where he beat Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the final, and he added the ATP Finals that November. Then came 2011, one of the finest seasons ever played. He won the Australian Open, Wimbledon and the US Open and went 10-1 against Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer. On 4 July 2011, after Wimbledon, he became world No. 1 for the first time.

Records and Defining Moments
Winning the 2016 French Open completed the "Nole Slam", all four majors held at once. In 2018 he became the first man to win all nine Masters 1000 events, and he has since done it twice. Melbourne became his second home, with a record ten Australian Open titles, and his 24th major arrived at the 2023 US Open. The one prize missing was Olympic gold, until he won it in Paris in 2024.
The Latest Chapter
In 2025 he reached the semi-finals of all four majors, won his 100th title in Geneva and his 101st in Athens. In 2026 he beat Jannik Sinner in a five-set Australian Open semi-final before losing the final to Carlos Alcaraz. He fell to João Fonseca in the third round at Roland Garros, reached the Wimbledon semi-finals and lost in five sets to Mariano Navone in the US Open first round. Then came Beijing, where Alex de Minaur retired in the final, before Hubert Hurkacz beat him in the Shanghai second round.
