BRAD FAXON Hoodie – A Tribute to the Purest Putter in Golf

Celebrate the career of Brad Faxon, one of the most respected names in American golf, with this BRAD FAXON Hoodie. Faxon never had the biggest drive off the tee, but for two decades he was the man other pros stopped to watch on the practice green – widely regarded as the finest putter of his generation.

⛳ A Career Built on Feel

Raised in Barrington, Rhode Island, and educated at Furman University, Faxon turned professional in 1983 after winning the Haskins Award as America's top collegiate golfer. He went on to win eight PGA Tour titles, including the 1991 Buick Open, the 1997 Freeport-McDermott Classic and the 2001 Sony Open in Hawaii, where he closed with a 65 to win by four. He represented the United States at two Ryder Cups, in 1995 and 1997.

Faxon's true legacy is on the greens. He topped the PGA Tour's putting average rankings in 1996, 1999 and 2000, setting a single-season record of just 1.704 putts per green in regulation – a mark that stood for years. His own explanation was disarmingly simple: "My only secret is confidence... I just try to hit every putt as if I've just made a million in a row."

Off the course, Faxon co-founded Billy Andrade/Brad Faxon Charities for Children with fellow pro Billy Andrade, raising millions for children in Rhode Island and southern Massachusetts, work that earned them the Golf Writers Association of America's Charlie Bartlett Award. He later became a respected broadcaster for NBC and Fox, and has continued competing on PGA Tour Champions since 2011.
