In Pro Evolution Soccer's classic-player database, licensing restrictions gave Dunga the cult alias C.Mendonca. For players who spent hours editing squads or selecting the World and European Classics, that fictional name became part of the game's mythology. Behind it was Dunga: Dunga captained Brazil to the 1994 World Cup and later coached the national team, embodying the competitive steel around a gifted generation.
