John Aldridge Liverpool Hoodie | Players Couture
John Aldridge scored 63 goals in 104 appearances for Liverpool and was the First Division’s top scorer in 1987-88, contributing directly to the league title that season. He replaced Ian Rush while the Welsh striker was at Juventus and produced a return so consistent that comparisons with his predecessor did not damage his standing — a remarkable achievement given what Rush had built at Anfield.
Aldridge’s FA Cup final penalty miss against Wimbledon was the moment the wider public remembered, but Anfield supporters remembered the goals — his instinctive finishing, his movement in the box and the prolific nature of a relatively brief but highly productive time at the club. His Republic of Ireland career gave him a legacy in Dublin to match the one he earned on Merseyside.
If you’re a Liverpool fan or looking for a gift for a John Aldridge supporter, this Players Couture design captures them in the Pantone-card illustration style.
The t-shirt is made from 100% premium cotton with a regular unisex fit, available in White, Navy, Red, Black and Grey in sizes XS to 5XL. Every piece is made to order at our studio in Manchester — nothing is held in stock, so your order is produced fresh just for you.
