Kenny Dalglish is the most important footballer Scotland has ever produced and one of the greatest players in the history of British football. A genius at Liverpool and Celtic, a man who won the English league title as both a player and a manager, and a figure whose contribution to football at Anfield transcends sport. This Dalglish hoodie from Players Couture is for fans who know exactly what he meant to Liverpool, to Celtic and to Scotland. Fan apparel built around one of the true legends of the British game.

Dalglish was born in Glasgow in 1951 and joined Celtic's youth system, becoming one of the greatest players in the club's history. He won four Scottish league titles and the Scottish Cup four times with Celtic, becoming a hero at Parkhead before Liverpool paid £440,000 for him in 1977 — a British record at the time. He was signed as the replacement for Kevin Keegan, the player Liverpool had just sold to Hamburg, and he delivered something extraordinary in return. He won six league championships at Liverpool, three European Cups, two FA Cups and four League Cups, and scored one of the most celebrated goals in the club's history — a chip at Wembley in the 1978 European Cup Final against Club Brugge that won the trophy.

When Joe Fagan resigned after the Heysel disaster in 1985, Dalglish became player-manager and led Liverpool to the double in his first season. He later managed Blackburn Rovers and guided them to the Premier League title in 1995, their first top-flight championship in eighty-one years. He returned to manage Liverpool a second time and remains a figure of enormous significance at Anfield, where his response to the Hillsborough disaster cemented his status as something more than a footballer or a manager.

For Scotland, he earned 102 caps and scored 30 international goals, representing his country with the same quality and commitment that defined his club career.
