Luis Enrique transferred from Real Madrid to Barcelona in 1996 — crossing the most significant divide in Spanish football — and went on to win the Copa del Rey and Cup Winners’ Cup at the Camp Nou before later returning as manager to deliver the 2014-15 Treble. Enrique’s connection to Barcelona extended across three decades — as a player, as a B team manager and as the first-team manager of the most successful domestic and European campaign of the Messi era.
