The Robert Pires hoodie from Players Couture carries the name of the most technically elegant left winger in the history of Arsenal Football Club across the chest in bold lettering, contrasting colour, made to order when you place yours. Robert Pires was a central figure in the Invincibles squad of 2003-04 — Arsenal’s unbeaten season — won the FA Cup twice at Arsenal, won the World Cup with France in 1998 and the European Championship in 2000, and was named the FWA Footballer of the Year in 2002. For Arsenal supporters who consider those Highbury years the finest in the club’s history, this is the fan apparel.

Robert Pires joined Arsenal from Marseille in 2000 for £6 million. He spent six seasons at Highbury, winning two Premier League titles — including the unbeaten Invincibles season in 2003-04 — and three FA Cups. He was named the FWA Footballer of the Year in 2002. His combination of close control, directness and ability to cut inside onto his right foot and score made him the most dangerous wide player in the Premier League during Arsenal’s dominant era under Arsène Wenger. For France, he earned 79 caps and won the World Cup in 1998 and Euro 2000, though injury denied him a starting role in the final.
