Ole Gunnar Solskjær joined Manchester United from Molde in 1996 and spent eleven seasons at Old Trafford — winning six Premier League titles, two FA Cups and the Champions League. His name is synonymous with one moment: the 93rd minute of the 1999 Champions League final in Barcelona, when he stabbed a low cross from Teddy Sheringham into the net to complete the most dramatic comeback in the competition's history and win United the treble. The Baby-Faced Assassin.

But Solskjær was more than that one moment. 126 goals in 366 appearances across eleven seasons — an outstanding return for a player who spent much of his career as a substitute or squad player in a squad of extraordinary depth. For Norway he earned 67 caps and scored 23 international goals. He returned to United as manager in December 2018 and guided the club through a transitional period before leaving in November 2021. The goal in Barcelona: immortal.
