Roberto Carlos Real Madrid T-Shirt | Players Couture
Roberto Carlos scored a free-kick against France in June 1997 that has been studied, modelled and debated by physicists, aerodynamicists and football fans ever since — struck from 35 yards, it curved wide of the wall, continued to curve further left than was physically expected and then dipped into the far corner of the net. The goalkeeper Fabien Barthez stepped aside as it approached, apparently convinced it was going wide. It went in. Decades later, it is still the most discussed free-kick in football history.
Carlos spent twelve seasons at Real Madrid from 1996 to 2007, winning three Champions Leagues, four La Liga titles and the World Cup with Brazil in 2002. His attacking contributions from left-back — the goals, the assists and the pure speed that made him one of the most dangerous players in the world when given space to run into — defined the modern concept of the attacking full-back. Defensive coaches across the world built systems to neutralise him; most of them only partially succeeded most of the time.
If you're a Real Madrid fan or looking for a gift for a Roberto Carlos supporter, this Players Couture design captures him in the famous all-white of the Bernabéu in the Pantone-card illustration style.
The t-shirt is made from 100% premium cotton with a regular unisex fit, available in White, Navy, Red, Black and Grey in sizes XS to 5XL. Every piece is made to order at our studio in Manchester — nothing is held in stock, so your order is produced fresh just for you.
