The Ruud Gullit hoodie from Players Couture puts the name of the most complete and versatile footballer of his generation across the chest in bold lettering, contrasting colour, made to order when you place yours. Ruud Gullit won the Ballon d’Or in 1987, the European Championship with the Netherlands in 1988, two Champions Leagues and three Serie A titles with AC Milan, and could play effectively in any attacking position on the pitch. For fans and supporters who rate the late 1980s AC Milan side as the greatest club team ever assembled, this is the fan apparel.

Ruud Gullit joined AC Milan from PSV Eindhoven in 1987 for a then world record fee of £6 million — the same summer he was named European Footballer of the Year and won the Ballon d’Or. Alongside Marco Van Basten and Frank Rijkaard, he formed the Dutch triumvirate at the heart of the most dominant club side in Europe, winning the European club football in 1989 and 1990 and three Serie A titles. For the Netherlands, he captained the side to victory at the 1988 European Championship — scoring the opening goal in the final against the Soviet Union — and was named the tournament’s best player. His physical power, technical finesse and ability to read the game from any position made him one of the most admired players in the world.
