Taylor began his professional career at Barnsley, where he quickly earned a reputation as a rising star. With Barnsley, he made 89 appearances, scoring an impressive 51 goals. At United, he made 191 appearances and scored 131 goals, establishing himself as one of the club's most lethal forwards.
