The design features a colourful, poster-style graphic of Tom Brady positioned as a compact badge on the left chest. It can be worn as everyday fan clothing as well as for match days and special sporting occasions. From Michigan to an Unlikely Draft Selection

Tom Brady was born in San Mateo, California, in 1977 and grew up watching Joe Montana and the San Francisco 49ers. He attended the University of Michigan, where his route to the starting position required patience and constant competition.

Brady eventually started 25 consecutive games across his final two college seasons and compiled a 20–5 record. His Michigan career included 5,351 passing yards and several important comeback victories.

His final college appearance came against Alabama in the Orange Bowl. Michigan twice trailed by 14 points, but Brady helped produce two recoveries and forced the game into overtime. He threw for 369 yards and four touchdowns as the Wolverines won 35–34.

Despite that performance, professional teams remained unconvinced by Brady’s athletic profile. New England selected him in the sixth round of the 2000 draft with the 199th overall pick. He began his rookie campaign behind several other quarterbacks and completed only three passes.

The Opportunity That Changed New England

Brady began the 2001 season as the backup to established starter Drew Bledsoe. When Bledsoe suffered an injury during a game against the New York Jets, Brady took control of the offence.

He helped New England complete an 11–5 regular season and win the AFC East. The Patriots then defeated Oakland in a dramatic snow-covered playoff game before beating Pittsburgh in the AFC Championship Game.

Super Bowl XXXVI placed New England against the heavily favoured St. Louis Rams. The Patriots built a lead before the Rams recovered to tie the game at 17–17. With limited time remaining, Brady completed the passes required to move New England into field-goal range.

Adam Vinatieri converted the winning kick as time expired, giving the Patriots a 20–17 victory and the first championship in franchise history. Brady was named Super Bowl Most Valuable Player at the age of 24.

Three Championships in Four Seasons

New England returned to the championship game following the 2003 season. Super Bowl XXXVIII against Carolina became a high-scoring contest, with Brady passing for 354 yards and three touchdowns. He again led a decisive late drive, allowing Vinatieri to secure a 32–29 victory.

The Patriots successfully defended their championship the following season. New England defeated Indianapolis and Pittsburgh before facing Philadelphia in Super Bowl XXXIX. Brady threw two touchdown passes as the Patriots won 24–21.

Three championships within four seasons established New England as the leading team of the period. Brady’s calm decision-making, ball security and ability to perform in demanding situations became central to the franchise’s identity.

The Historic 2007 Regular Season

Brady’s early championship teams had often relied on balanced football, but the 2007 Patriots developed one of the most explosive passing attacks ever assembled. Working with receivers including Randy Moss and Wes Welker, Brady threw for 4,806 yards and a then-record 50 touchdown passes.

Moss caught 23 of those scores, establishing a receiving record, while New England completed the first 16–0 regular season. Brady was named the league’s Most Valuable Player after receiving every available first-place vote.

The Patriots defeated Jacksonville and San Diego to reach Super Bowl XLII with an 18–0 record. New England came close to completing an unbeaten championship campaign, but the New York Giants produced a late touchdown to win 17–14.

Brady suffered a serious knee injury during the opening game of the following season and missed the remainder of the year. He returned in 2009 and continued leading New England through repeated division victories and playoff appearances.

His 2010 campaign included 36 touchdown passes and only four interceptions, earning a second league MVP award. Brady again received every first-place vote, becoming the first player to achieve that unanimous recognition twice.

Returning to the Championship Stage

New England reached Super Bowl XLVI following the 2011 season, producing a rematch with the Giants. Brady gave the Patriots a late lead, but New York completed another final drive and won 21–17.

The Patriots remained consistent contenders throughout the following seasons. Brady developed productive partnerships with Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edelman, adapting the New England offence as personnel changed around him.

After the 2014 regular season, the Patriots defeated Baltimore and Indianapolis to reach Super Bowl XLIX against Seattle. New England trailed by ten points during the fourth quarter, but Brady threw touchdown passes to Danny Amendola and Edelman to reclaim the lead.

Seattle moved close to the New England goal line during the closing seconds before Malcolm Butler intercepted Russell Wilson’s pass. The Patriots won 28–24, giving Brady his fourth championship and third Super Bowl MVP award.

The 28–3 Comeback

Brady and New England returned to the final following the 2016 season. The Patriots faced Atlanta in Super Bowl LI and endured a difficult opening, falling 28–3 behind during the third quarter.

New England then produced the largest comeback in Super Bowl history. Brady directed five scoring possessions from the team’s final six drives, while Dont’a Hightower’s strip sack, Julian Edelman’s remarkable catch and two successful two-point conversions helped erase the deficit.

Brady completed 43 of 62 passes for 466 yards and two touchdowns. Both his completion and yardage totals set championship-game records at the time. The contest became the first Super Bowl to reach overtime, and James White completed the 34–28 victory with a rushing touchdown.

Brady received his fourth Super Bowl MVP award and collected a fifth championship ring. The comeback became one of the defining moments of his career and demonstrated the refusal to accept defeat that Patriots fans had witnessed for more than a decade.

Three Consecutive Super Bowl Appearances

Brady was named league MVP for a third time following the 2017 regular season. New England returned to the championship game and faced Philadelphia in Super Bowl LII.

Brady passed for 505 yards and three touchdowns without an interception, setting another championship-game yardage record. Philadelphia nevertheless won the high-scoring contest 41–33.

The Patriots returned for a third consecutive Super Bowl after the 2018 season. New England defeated Kansas City in overtime during the AFC Championship Game before facing the Los Angeles Rams.

Super Bowl LIII became a defensive contest. Brady completed an important fourth-quarter pass to Gronkowski, setting up the only touchdown as the Patriots won 13–3. The victory gave Brady and New England their sixth championship together.

An Unmatched Patriots Career

Brady completed 20 seasons with New England, recording 74,571 regular-season passing yards and 541 touchdown passes for the team. He led the Patriots to 17 division titles, 13 AFC Championship Game appearances, nine Super Bowls and six victories.

His Patriots achievements also included three league MVP awards, four Super Bowl MVP awards and 14 Pro Bowl selections during his time with the franchise. The partnership between Brady and head coach Bill Belichick became the most successful quarterback-and-coach combination of the Super Bowl era.

Brady moved to Tampa Bay in 2020 and won a seventh championship during his first Buccaneers season. He retired after the 2022 campaign with career records including 89,214 passing yards and 649 touchdown passes.

New England inducted Brady into the Patriots Hall of Fame in 2024 and retired his number 12. A 12-foot statue celebrating his career was unveiled outside the stadium in 2025, ensuring his connection with the franchise remains visible to future generations of fans.

International Appearances

American football does not normally provide quarterbacks with a separate senior national-team career or an established international championship. Brady nevertheless played several league games outside the United States.

He led New England to a 35–7 victory over Tampa Bay at Wembley Stadium in 2009. The Patriots returned to London in 2012 and defeated the St. Louis Rams 45–7, with Brady throwing four touchdown passes.

In 2017, Brady passed for 340 yards and three touchdowns as New England defeated the Raiders 33–8 in Mexico City. These appearances helped strengthen the international Patriots following, particularly among fans in the UK.
