The England 1966 team remains the most iconic side in English football history. Managed by Sir Alf Ramsey, the squad featured legendary names including Bobby Moore, Gordon Banks, Jack Charlton, Bobby Charlton, Geoff Hurst, Martin Peters, Nobby Stiles, Alan Ball, Ray Wilson, George Cohen and Roger Hunt. Their unforgettable World Cup campaign ended with victory at Wembley, where England beat West Germany 4-2 after extra time. Geoff Hurst became the first player to score a hat-trick in a World Cup final, while Bobby Moore lifted the trophy as captain in one of the defining images of the sport.
