David Allen Men’s Hoodie – White Rhino Boxing Fan Merchandise

Celebrate a genuine British heavyweight fan favourite with the David Allen Men’s Hoodie from Players Couture. Featuring a colourful poster-style image of David “The White Rhino” Allen within a stylish badge on the left chest, this hoodie gives supporters a distinctive way to represent one of boxing’s most relatable and resilient personalities.

Allen’s appeal extends far beyond his professional record. The Doncaster heavyweight has earned admiration through his sense of humour, honest interviews, memorable knockout victories and readiness to accept difficult fights. His career has included championship challenges, periods of retirement, dramatic comebacks and major contests against some of the most dangerous heavyweights of his era.

The compact left-chest graphic celebrates that unpredictable journey in a modern, wearable format. It is recognisable to dedicated boxing fanatics without dominating the entire garment, making the hoodie suitable for an arena, a night at the pub or an ordinary day away from the sport.

A Modern Left-Chest Tribute to the Doncaster Heavyweight

The colourful badge presents Allen in a stylish poster-inspired design that captures the character associated with the White Rhino. It reflects his physical toughness and heavyweight power while retaining the relaxed personality that has helped him connect with supporters across the country.

Unlike merchandise intended only for an event, this hoodie has been designed as versatile everyday clothing. The neat left-chest position allows fans to combine it easily with jeans, joggers, trainers or a winter coat. It provides a subtle way to represent a favourite boxer while still feeling appropriate for casual social occasions.

The Beginning of the White Rhino Story

David Allen was born in Doncaster in 1992 and entered the professional heavyweight ranks in December 2012. At approximately 6 feet 3 inches tall, he brought natural strength, durability and a powerful right hand to the division. His approachable personality quickly earned him followers, while his willingness to accept difficult assignments established a reputation for courage.

Allen developed through British small-hall boxing before appearing on increasingly prominent events. He did not build his career around preserving an unbeaten record. Instead, he regularly faced experienced contenders and dangerous punchers, often accepting opportunities that other fighters might have avoided.

In 2016, he stepped into the ring with Dillian Whyte. The future leading heavyweight won by decision, but Allen completed the distance and gained valuable experience. Later that year, Allen faced feared Cuban contender Luis Ortiz. Ortiz applied sustained pressure and stopped him in the seventh round, yet Allen’s decision to accept the contest reinforced his reputation as a boxer willing to test himself at a demanding level.

Commonwealth Championship Attempts

Allen challenged Lenroy Thomas for the Commonwealth heavyweight championship in 2017. He lost by split decision after a competitive fight, with the narrow scoring underlining how close he had come to securing a major domestic honour. A rematch followed in 2018, but an accidental clash of heads brought the bout to an early conclusion and produced a technical draw.

Although the title remained beyond his reach, Allen continued pursuing meaningful fights. He became particularly popular because supporters understood that his career involved real risk. Win or lose, he tended to produce contests with a story, an unpredictable moment or a demonstration of exceptional durability.

That reputation grew when he faced unbeaten prospect Nick Webb in 2018. Allen entered as the underdog but produced a dramatic fourth-round knockout. It was the kind of performance that has defined his career: written off beforehand, patient during the contest and capable of changing everything with one heavyweight punch.

Defeating Former Champion Lucas Browne

Allen recorded one of his greatest victories against Lucas Browne at the O2 Arena in April 2019. Browne was a former heavyweight champion with extensive international experience, but Allen found the decisive opening in the third round.

A perfectly placed left hook to the body forced Browne to the canvas, where he was unable to beat the count. The finish became one of the most recognisable moments of Allen’s career. It demonstrated intelligent punch selection as well as power and gave the Doncaster fighter a major victory on a prominent London card.

Later that year, Allen met the towering David Price. Price used his height, jab and accurate combinations to control much of the contest, and Allen was withdrawn after the tenth round. It was another physically demanding evening and contributed to the wider concerns Allen would later express about his health and future in the sport.

Walking Away and Choosing to Return

Allen announced his retirement in 2020, bringing an apparent end to a career that had already contained more difficult nights than many boxers experience. His connection with the sport remained strong, however. He worked as a trainer and manager, shared his knowledge with other fighters and continued communicating openly with boxing supporters.

In August 2021, the White Rhino returned to the ring and stopped Andrea Pesce in the second round. His comeback developed gradually rather than moving immediately towards headline contests. That period allowed Allen to rebuild his confidence and continue balancing his own career with his work helping other boxers.

He eventually returned to a major televised stage against Olympic bronze medallist Frazer Clarke in September 2023. Allen was withdrawn after six rounds, but the contest began another important sequence in his story. Points victories over Jake Darnell and Amine Boucetta followed in 2024, preparing him for an unexpected opportunity against Johnny Fisher.

Two Unforgettable Johnny Fisher Fights

Allen faced the unbeaten Johnny Fisher in Saudi Arabia in December 2024. Fisher, known as the Romford Bull, entered with a reputation for knockout power and was widely expected to continue his rise. Allen’s experience and composure made the contest far more competitive than many predictions suggested.

The White Rhino knocked Fisher down in the fifth round and continued to have success as the fight progressed. After ten rounds, Fisher received a narrow split-decision victory. The verdict generated considerable debate, with many viewers and analysts believing Allen had deserved the result.

A rematch became unavoidable. The second encounter took place at the Copper Box Arena in May 2025, giving Allen a prominent headline opportunity. After absorbing pressure during the early rounds, he began finding openings for his heavier punches. In the fifth, he hurt Fisher and completed a decisive stoppage that left no need for the judges.

The victory earned Allen the WBA Inter-Continental heavyweight title and inflicted the first professional defeat of Fisher’s career. It also became one of British boxing’s most satisfying comeback stories. A fighter who had retired, rebuilt on small events and frequently been treated as an underdog had returned to win a major contest in emphatic fashion.

Makhmudov, Hrgović and the Final Career Chapter

Success against Fisher led to another headline opportunity against Arslanbek Makhmudov at Sheffield Arena in October 2025. The powerful contender controlled much of the 12-round contest and earned a unanimous decision. Allen showed familiar toughness and completed the distance against a fighter known for heavy knockout power.

Allen returned in February 2026 against Karim Berredjem in Nottingham. He required only 57 seconds to secure victory, landing a heavy right hand almost immediately and forcing the stoppage within the opening round.

In May, he welcomed leading Croatian contender Filip Hrgović to Doncaster for a major hometown event. Hrgović produced a fast, accurate performance, and Allen’s trainer stopped the contest during the third round to protect his fighter from further punishment.

The White Rhino quickly returned to competition, recording four-round points victories over Ross McGuigan in June and Dan Garber at Doncaster Dome in July. Those wins advanced his professional record to 27 victories, nine defeats and two draws, with 20 successes achieved inside the distance.

Allen has discussed completing the remaining contests of his career through a farewell run, with the ambition of pursuing a British or Commonwealth opportunity before retirement. Whatever the eventual ending, his career has already provided fans with underdog victories, emotional comebacks and a level of honesty rarely encountered in professional sport.
