David Cooper Glasgow Rangers Hoodie | Players Couture
Davie Cooper is widely regarded as the most naturally gifted player Scottish football produced in the 1970s and 1980s — a winger of extraordinary touch, vision and left-footed quality who spent the majority of his career at Glasgow Rangers, where his dribbling and creativity made him one of the most beloved players in the club's history. His death from a brain haemorrhage at the age of 39 in 1995 remains one of the most tragic losses in Scottish football.
Cooper won three Scottish Premier Division titles and four Scottish Cups with Rangers, and his performances in the Old Firm fixture elevated him to cult status on the Ibrox terraces. But it is a single moment in a Scottish international that many outside the club remember him by — the free-kick against Wales in September 1985 that secured a World Cup play-off place for Scotland, struck with the nonchalant certainty of a player who had practised the moment a thousand times and already knew exactly where it was going to end up.
If you're a Rangers fan or looking for a gift for someone who appreciates Scottish football's finest talents, this Players Couture design captures Cooper in the royal blue of Ibrox in the Pantone-card illustration style.
The t-shirt is made from 100% premium cotton with a regular unisex fit, available in White, Navy, Red, Black and Grey in sizes XS to 5XL. Every piece is made to order at our studio in Manchester — nothing is held in stock, so your order is produced fresh just for you.
