His two goals from the bench in the 2006 Champions League final for Barcelona — turning a deficit into a lead against Arsenal before Ronaldinho and Eto'o scored — confirmed a player who delivered in the biggest moments regardless of circumstance or club.
For Sweden he earned 106 caps and scored 37 international goals, and was central to the side that finished third at the 1994 World Cup. The relationship between Celtic fans and Larsson — expressed in songs, scarves and a standing ovation at his final match at Parkhead in 2004 — represents one of football's most genuine love stories between player and club.
