Miroslav Klose is one of the most respected strikers in football history. Born in Poland and representing Germany, he built a remarkable career through Kaiserslautern, Werder Bremen, Bayern Munich and Lazio, before retiring as a legendary centre-forward. Known for intelligent movement, sharp finishing, aerial ability and a humble playing style, Klose became a fan favourite wherever he played. With Bayern Munich, he won Bundesliga titles and domestic cups, while at Lazio he added the Coppa Italia to his honours.

His international career made him truly iconic. Klose scored 71 goals in 137 appearances for Germany, becoming the country’s record goalscorer. Across four World Cups — 2002, 2006, 2010 and 2014 — he scored a record 16 World Cup goals, more than any player in tournament history. He was part of the Germany side that reached the 2002 World Cup final, finished third in 2006 and 2010, and finally won the World Cup in 2014. His goal against Brazil in the famous 7-1 semi-final made him the all-time leading scorer in World Cup history, cementing his place as a true football hero.
