Zinedine Zidane Juventus Hoodie | Players Couture

Zinedine Zidane spent five seasons at Juventus between 1996 and 2001, winning two Serie A titles and reaching two Champions League finals — losing to Borussia Dortmund in 1997 and Real Madrid in 1998. His dribbling, his ability to carry the ball out of the tightest situations and the famous borghetto turn that made him impossible to dispossess gave Juventus a midfielder who could control matches from the centre of the pitch in a way that the Italian game had rarely seen from a foreign player.

Zidane's Juventus years were where the world outside France fully understood what they were watching. His performances in Serie A and in European competition made him the most sought-after player in the world by the time Real Madrid came calling with a then-world record fee in 2001. The Turin chapter was the formation period — the years that prepared him for the Champions League final volley, the Galáctico era and the three consecutive European titles as manager that completed one of the sport's most remarkable individual stories.
