Aaron Donald Los Angeles Rams Men’s T-Shirt – Legendary Number 99 American Football Clothing
Represent one of the most dominant defensive players in American football history with the Players Couture Aaron Donald Los Angeles Rams men’s T-shirt. Created for Rams supporters, defensive football fanatics and admirers of athletes who changed how their position was played, this distinctive piece of clothing celebrates the power, speed and relentless determination of the legendary number 99.
The T-shirt features a colourful, poster-style graphic of Aaron Donald positioned on the left chest. Measuring approximately 10 cm in height, the badge adds an unmistakable connection to the Rams hero without covering the entire front of the garment. Its compact placement combines American football heritage with contemporary fashion, creating a stylish alternative to conventional player merchandise.
Available in White, Black, Red, Navy and Grey, the T-shirt offers several ways to complement the colourful player artwork. Navy connects naturally with the Rams, while white provides a clean and versatile background. Black creates an understated everyday look, grey recalls traditional American sportswear, and red adds a stronger colour contrast. Adult sizes are available from S through to 3XL.
From Pittsburgh to the First Round
Aaron Charles Donald was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in May 1991. He developed his strength and discipline from an early age, following a demanding training routine created with the help of his father. That commitment transformed him into an outstanding defensive player at Penn Hills High School and earned him the opportunity to represent the University of Pittsburgh.
Donald progressed from a reserve during his first college season into one of the most disruptive defensive players in the country. As a sophomore, he recorded 11 sacks and 16 tackles behind the line of scrimmage. His speed, leverage and ability to escape larger blockers made him extremely difficult for opposing offensive lines to control.
His senior season in 2013 brought 59 tackles, 28.5 tackles for loss, 11 sacks and four forced fumbles. Donald was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Defensive Player of the Year and became a unanimous All-American.
His outstanding year also brought the Bronko Nagurski Trophy, Chuck Bednarik Award, Outland Trophy and Lombardi Award. These honours recognised Donald as both an exceptional defender and one of the leading interior linemen in college football.
The Rams selected Donald with the 13th overall pick in the 2014 draft. The team was still based in St. Louis when he arrived, but he would remain with the same organisation through its move to California and become the defining defensive player in modern Los Angeles Rams history.
Defensive Rookie of the Year
Donald immediately demonstrated that concerns about his height and size had been misplaced. Although shorter than many defensive tackles, he used exceptional strength, explosive acceleration and a low centre of gravity to gain leverage against much larger offensive linemen.
During his debut season, Donald recorded nine sacks, 18 tackles for loss and two forced fumbles. He earned his first Pro Bowl selection and was named Defensive Rookie of the Year.
His second season produced 11 sacks and 22 tackles for loss. Donald was selected as a First-Team All-Pro for the first time, beginning a run of seven consecutive appearances on the leading All-Pro team.
When the franchise moved back to Los Angeles for the 2016 season, Donald travelled with it and became one of the central figures in the team’s new era. His combination of speed and power allowed him to generate pressure from the interior, traditionally one of the most difficult positions from which to reach the quarterback.
Three Defensive Player of the Year Awards
Donald won his first Defensive Player of the Year award following the 2017 season. Despite playing only 14 games, he produced 11 sacks and forced five fumbles. His influence went beyond the statistics because opposing teams frequently assigned two blockers to him, creating opportunities for his defensive teammates.
His 2018 campaign was even more remarkable. Donald recorded a league-leading 20.5 sacks, establishing a new single-season high for a defensive tackle at the time. He also produced 25 tackles for loss and forced four fumbles.
One of the season’s standout displays came against the San Francisco 49ers, when Donald registered four sacks, recovered a fumble and forced another. His ability to take control of a game from an interior position made him one of the most feared players in American football clothing and merchandise.
Donald won Defensive Player of the Year for a second consecutive season and helped the Rams finish with a 13–3 record. Los Angeles defeated Dallas and New Orleans in the play-offs before meeting the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LIII. The Rams were defeated 13–3, but the appearance represented an important step in the team’s progress.
In 2020, Donald recorded 13.5 sacks, 14 tackles for loss and four forced fumbles. He received his third Defensive Player of the Year award, joining an extremely small group of players to win the honour three times.
The Pursuit of a Super Bowl Championship
By the beginning of the 2021 season, Donald had collected nearly every major individual honour available to a defensive player. A Super Bowl championship remained the defining team achievement still missing from his career.
Donald responded with one of his strongest campaigns, recording a career-high 84 combined tackles, 12.5 sacks and four forced fumbles. The Rams strengthened their squad and advanced through a demanding postseason.
Los Angeles defeated the Arizona Cardinals in the opening round before overcoming the reigning champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In the NFC Championship Game, the Rams faced the San Francisco 49ers. Donald’s late pressure contributed to a hurried pass that was intercepted, securing a 20–17 victory and a place in Super Bowl LVI.
The championship game was played at the Rams’ home stadium in Los Angeles against the Cincinnati Bengals. Donald recorded two sacks and consistently pressured quarterback Joe Burrow as the teams competed through a closely contested match.
After the Rams took a 23–20 lead, Cincinnati faced fourth-and-one with less than a minute remaining. Donald broke through the protection and forced Burrow to release the ball as he was being brought down. The pass fell incomplete, ending the Bengals’ final possession and confirming the Rams as Super Bowl champions.
The image of Donald pointing towards his ring finger became one of the defining celebrations of the victory. After years of individual dominance, he had made the decisive defensive play required to complete his championship ambition.
A One-Franchise Career
Donald recorded his 100th career sack during the 2022 season. An ankle injury caused him to miss the final six games, but he was still selected for another Pro Bowl.
He returned in 2023 and recorded eight sacks, 53 combined tackles and three pass deflections. The Rams reached the play-offs, and Donald earned his tenth Pro Bowl selection and eighth First-Team All-Pro honour.
Donald announced his retirement in March 2024 after 10 seasons with the Rams organisation. He had played 154 regular-season games, recording 543 combined tackles, 111 sacks and 24 forced fumbles. He reached the Pro Bowl in every season of his career.
After sitting out the 2024 and 2025 seasons, Donald trained with the Rams during 2026 while considering whether a return might be possible. At the time of writing, no further competitive appearance had been added to his exceptional 10-season playing record.
His established legacy is already extraordinary: one Super Bowl championship, three Defensive Player of the Year awards, eight First-Team All-Pro selections, 10 Pro Bowls and membership of the league’s 2010s All-Decade Team. Few defensive players have combined such a high peak with such consistent recognition.
