Colin Bell Manchester City Hoodie | Players Couture

Colin Bell won the First Division title, the FA Cup, the League Cup and the European Cup Winners' Cup with Manchester City between 1968 and 1970 — a two-year period of trophy gathering that represented the peak of the club's pre-Sheik era ambition. Bell was the engine of that side: technically gifted, capable of covering enormous ground and contributing goals from midfield at a rate that made him one of the complete midfielders of his generation.

Bell was known as Nijinsky — after the racehorse — because of his ability to run all day without apparent fatigue. The City side built around him, Mike Summerbee, Francis Lee and Joe Corrigan represented the club at its most formidable, winning trophies that the club did not approach again for thirty years. Bell's career was cruelly curtailed by a knee injury sustained in November 1975 that limited his appearances for the remainder of his time at the club, but his contribution before that point was enough to earn him a place among the greatest City players ever.
