Ferenc Puskás was a forward with a goal-scoring record that remains almost untouchable. Born in Budapest, Hungary, in 1927, he rose to international fame during the 1950s as the leader of the legendary Hungarian national team known as the Mighty Magyars. Puskás scored 84 goals in 85 international appearances – a strike rate that defines greatness.

His club career was equally impressive. With Budapest Honvéd, he won five Hungarian league titles before making a historic move to Real Madrid. There, he formed a fearsome attacking partnership with Alfredo Di Stéfano, helping the club dominate European football. Puskás scored 242 goals in 262 appearances for Real Madrid and won five La Liga titles and three European Cups. In the 1960 European Cup Final, he famously netted four goals in a 7–3 win over Eintracht Frankfurt – a performance still talked about today.
